Karfiguela Falls and a world tour

Back to a new update after some days of silence. A post in English for the benefit of my international friends.

Last Friday we went to visit the Karfiguela Falls in the Banfora area, a 30 minutes drive from Banfora town.

The route itself a magic view of the "brousse" and of the fantastic countryside, green, prosperous and gentle. All along, the view of the Domes of  Fabedougou, a marvellous rocks ("falesia", in Italian) which from here, cross Burkina Faso and reach Ivory Coast.

The Karfiguela Falls are extremely gentle and smooth, and we generously swam and enjoyed the water falls and its freshness.

We had a picnic in the shade, cooking right there our meal, which some of the pals in the group had brought over there, carrying it from the parking.

Each step in this gorgeous area seemed to open up into a natural arena or theatre hall. The beauty and majesty of Nature embraced  us all, caressing our steps, eyes and hearts.

I had a super swim with the kids and Laura, receiving a natural whirlpool massage and enjoying the sun on the warm stones.

After lunch I stayed a bit longer with another pal of the group and two Belgian guests who wished to visit the water falls area. So we hang around while the rest of the group headed for home.

After a while we realised we had kept the house keys. Trying to reach the rest of the group, running after them, the pal Djakali met a guy who offered to reach the group in the woods and take them the keys.
He did not succed so he brought us back the keys and in this way I met Rodriguez, a guy who has been touring the world for the last six years.

While swimming and relaxing I met someone who is turning into reality the dream of - probably - most of us.
At least mine!

He is managing by working or offering to volunteer in exchange of accommodation and meals. He is pretty "minimal" and he has been in Burkina for two months now.
One of this dream is to learn Italian so probably we will meet again in Italy.

After that we returned home but before we had a stop at the parking, waiting for a moto taxi and so I also experienced a super tour in the countryside sitting in the front, next to the driver.

While waiting at the parking, a bunch of kids going home after their day of work in the fields showed up. We chatted and joked together. They were boys and girls, aged 10 maximum I guess, and they looked all tired but still full of energy and eagerness to share time with me, a "tubabu", who by the way speaks just broken French and in fact I could not express myself the way I had wished, nor really understand all they were telling me.

Getting home after such a great day and in the water made me really energetic.
